Judging from the resumption of work of drip irrigation tape manufacturers in various places, there will be no shortage of drip irrigation tapes in 2020.

At present, drip irrigation tape is used. In the cotton fields in northern Xinjiang, one film and three rows and three tapes are generally used. The length of drip irrigation tape used per mu is 880 meters. So according to the mu of cotton planted, how many meters of drip irrigation tape should be planned. Of course, drip irrigation tape is sold by the roll, which is about 2,500 meters. In the cotton fields in southern Xinjiang, 50 mu of cotton is planted, and one film and two tapes are used for drip irrigation. Calculated at 585 meters per mu, it is 29,250 meters, and then divided by 2,500 meters/bundle, it is 11.7 bundles, and 12 bundles of drip irrigation tape are needed. In the cotton fields in northern Xinjiang, 40 mu of cotton is planted, and one film and three tapes are used for drip irrigation. Calculated at 880 meters per mu, it is 35,200 meters, and then divided by 2,500 meters/bundle, it is 14.08 bundles, and 14.1 bundles of drip irrigation tape are needed.

Branch pipe problem: It can be calculated based on the width and length of the cotton field. The amount of branch pipes is generally calculated based on a length of about 40 meters. The width can be calculated based on 2.3 meters for one film, or the number of roots can be calculated based on the number of ground piles. The width of the ground determines the length of the branch pipe. One film is about 2.3 meters. Count the ground piles to know how many branch pipes are needed, and see how many films are sown to know the length of the branch pipe. Generally, one branch pipe cannot manage more than 20 films, otherwise it will be low-pressure operation and the dripping will not be uniform. Therefore, in the one-film three-belt mode, the No. 90 branch pipe cannot be longer than 50 meters, otherwise, the end pressure will be insufficient.

Configuration and calculation method of drip irrigation belt:

2.4 drippers, 2.4 liters of water per hour. Dripper per mu = 292 meters × 3 pipes × 3 (per meter/hole) = 2682 holes, and the water output per mu per hour is 2682 × 2.4 = 6307.2 liters ≈ 6.3 cubic meters.

When farmers choose drip irrigation belts, they can use the above method to calculate how much land each valve belt has with the water output of well irrigation and river irrigation. The water output of the river irrigation pump varies. The filter in the river irrigation system removes 10%-20% of the water but is easy to clog. It is recommended to backwash twice a day when the river water sediment is large to stabilize the water output.
